We're on a mission
Therapists, teachers, graduate students and nonprofit professionals learn the latest trauma-informed practices and create lasting change for children and families in LA’s most underserved communities.
And we like to play
We sponsor numerous staff appreciation events throughout the year.
Our Values
Values are at the heart of what we do every day.
Passion
We believe in the boundless potential of children and families and work hard to transform their life stories.
Partnership
We have the greatest impact when we collaborate with families, community partners and colleagues who are dedicated to the success of the young people we serve.
Innovation
We seek solutions grounded in best practices and data. We are committed to excellence, impact and sustainability in all we do.
Equity
We promote opportunities for communities hit hardest by persistent poverty and inequity. We aim to treat everyone with compassion and respect.
I'm celebrating 35 years working at Children's Institute and it has been a privilege. The work we do for the families in the community is truly amazing and it has helped me become a better person.
